In an exclusive interview with Inside United, Edinson Cavani shared his view on Marcus Rashford's penalty in Paris and the culture at Manchester United.

Our Uruguayan centre-forward has established himself in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first-team squad since his arrival in October.

In 25 United appearances so far, Cavani has found the back of the net seven times and set up two goals.

Ahead of our fixture with Leicester City in the Emirates FA Cup, the 34 year-old conducted an exclusive interview with Inside United, and revealed what he thinks must be done for the Reds to win silverware this season.

He also relives one of the finest moments in our recent history, our 3-1 win at Paris Saint-Germain in 2019 to send us through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Cavani, of course, was on the opposite side then, sat on the PSG bench as Marcus Rashford sent the Reds through with a confidently taken penalty in injury time, impressing his future team-mate.

“Well, I had to watch that moment from the sideline as I was on the bench at the time when Marcus Rashford took that penalty in the Parc des Princes,” he said.

“Those are the kind of moments that you have to use in the future to become even stronger and to grow as a player. To feel that there’s nothing better when you can feel the competitive spirit inside you, the desire to perform at your best. I believe that those big moments, those special occasions, are the ones that leave their mark on you and enable you to grow. It’s a demonstration of character.”
